Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect the information you choose to share with StrokeBill, including your name, email address, account preferences and any documents you upload such as bills, Explanations of Benefits and contracts. We also collect basic technical information like device type, IP address and pages visited.

2. How we use your information

We use the information you share to operate the service — extracting line items, estimating coverage, drafting appeals and tracking deadlines. We never sell your information. We never use your medical documents to train third-party models without an explicit opt-in.

3. How we protect your information

• Documents are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).
• Role-based access controls and full audit logs.
• Annual third-party penetration testing.
• A designated Privacy Officer who reviews data-handling practices.

4. Sharing

We share information only with subprocessors necessary to operate the service (cloud hosting, OCR providers, email infrastructure), and only under signed Business Associate Agreements where applicable. A current list of subprocessors is available on request.

5. Your rights

You can export, correct or delete your data at any time from inside the app.

6. Children

StrokeBill is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes

We will email you about material changes to this policy at least 14 days before they take effect.
